Keio University Mita Media Center

About Library

A Center of Knowledge and a Repository of Tradition and Culture

The main role of the Mita Media Center (Keio University Library) is to support the research, learning and education of both faculty members and students belonging to the four faculties and six graduate schools on Mita campus. The Center, which marked its 100th anniversary in 2012, serves as a library for humanities and social sciences as well as a main library of Keio University. Vast open-stack rooms allow users to freely access most of its collections. With more than 2.6 million volumes, the library includes a large number of private collections, rare books, and special collections. In recent years, the Center is also committed to intellectual contribution to society by making digitized collections available on the internet.
